I had to switch off the press conference because I was so disgusted with the way Zelenskyy was spoken to. He looked so distressed & lost.
He has obviously been in the UK for the last few days and he looks so much more comfortable & relieved with PM Starmer & EU leaders & Trudeau etc.

Was there any concrete plans made or was all just talk for now (like it has often been)? At least Finnish media has not talked about any real plans of action, only the plan to make peace negotiation plan led by UK, Ukraine and France. If your countries have made statements of future actions, I’d love to hear it

The whole meeting was really just bullying Zelensky into returning to the mineral deal with Trump

How do British people perceive Starmer? When it comes to foreign policy he seems to be a solid leader who doesn’t hesitate to take some risks but I have no idea if he’s popular at home.

Also UK signed a minerals deal with Ukraine as a preferential economic partner for 100 years.
Going to take defence seriously? Cut welfare spending? Which is the dividend from the cold war? No?
Then stop with these endless tweets, loud speeches, expensive working lunches.
Trump the other day suggested Europe should spend 5% on defence spending. Immediately roundly criticised and ignored. Europe don’t want to spend money on defence. Our politicians just talk a big game. A war in Europe did not lead to more defence spending (beyond a token gesture not a serious prioritisation). We will regret it when war comes to our shores and we have ammunition to last a few days of heavy fighting and so few guns some soldiers will be given brooms as weapons like the German army on their drills a few years back.

Come on Europe, cross the road.
Your ‘ally’ isn’t your ally. We literally just shut down our cyber defense against Russia….
Come on man, cross the damn road.

I also have great sayings. How about the actions folks… Let’s put or collective skills to work, from the Atlantic to the Black Sea.
