As long as a Russian army of occupation remains in Ukraine, the war will continue. Withdrawal of Russian troops must be a unilateral act, as the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian government was a unilateral act in the first place. Those who have been calling for “negotiations now” are deluding themselves and others..
