Been overweight for an awful long time. I feel like it’s ingrained in my fat families lifestyle. This year I’m down 7kg for a total of 17kg since June 24 and no sign of stopping 🤘 I’m determined to be a normal weight. Doctor did try to prescribe me Ozempic but I’m not interested in getting there via drugs

Perhaps. I’d say the next 25 years will tell a lot.

Doubt it! I’m sure ozempic will be widely available by then

Try this one trick that big obesity doesn’t want you to know…
Put the fuckin fork down and go for a walk.

I (54m) was diagnosed with fatty liver disease in 2021, so I took advantage of the lockdown and finally managed to quit processed sugar, albeit not without trainspotting style withdrawl symptoms… But my 20-year belly just dissolved. Now I avoid any obvious sugary foods (cake, chocolate, icecream etc.) but don’t worry about a bit of ketcup etc. I drink beer, eat crisps more than I should, but the weight has stayed off. I’d definitely recommend quitting the aul’ sugar.

Wait. We’re not to 50% yet? I assumed it was already at like 67%.

That seems a very long time away to make a projection like that with a ridic number of things that could make the projection untrue. So presumably that was stated in the report how extremely uncertain a 25-year-forward projection would be

No we won’t because we won’t be able to afford to eat. What with inflation and all that jazz

Didn’t they say this same thing 25 years ago, yet here we are. Keep making guesses and eventually you will be right.

Don’t worry the cost of food these days will ensure none of us are obese, except maybe the rich and sure they can just buy ozempic…
