      >Both businesses have previously told a Bord Pleanála hearing into the Dart+ West project their successful operations stand to be significantly affected by land acquisition and road works associated with the project.

Of course. Nothing gets done in our country infrastructure wise in a speedy manner.

Typical SHITE. Hence we have a disgraceful transport infrastructure.

Businesses now complaining that upgrading the level crossing at Ashtown to an underpass will lead to too much traffic going past their businesses. Every time a cycle lane gets added or a road is pedestrianised we’re told the decrease in cars on the road will hurt businesses, but when they try to improve road infrastructure that’s also a problem.

Maybe it’s the businesses objecting to every single new piece of transport infrastructure that are the problem.

How is this a thing in our country? Oh no, the world is changing and we may have to adapt, boo hoo. Every single major project balloons in price and is delayed exponentially. Bananas. Seriously through, can someone explain this to me like I’m 5!? Why is it so prevalent in Ireland compared to other countries?

Yes. The commute and travel experience probably hundreds of thousands of people should be held up by 2 small local enterprises. Makes total sense.

Infrastructure should not be allowed to be objected to. We have public consultations for a reason, once approved that should be it.

Otherwise we’re going to have another metro situation on our hands

I’d like to organise a protest outside these objecting businesses
