Even if the events happening in the US are unfortunate for the local population, this is allowing Europe to become more united and less dependant from the US, especialy from a military POV

It may be worth extending nuclear sharing agreements to other countries within the EU, and to Canada with the threat we have to our south. We must stay united
‘Nuclear deterrent’ was only a thing for a very brief moment when pretty much nobody had nukes. At this point it all comes down to ‘let’s hope the other guy isn’t insane and doesn’t start smashing the little red button because then we’re all fucked.’

Bold leadership from Macron. Good to see! I seriously hope in the near future we here in the U.K. scrap Trident missiles for our Nuclear warheads and do the same as the French and build the Missile and Delivery systems for the British CASD here in the U.K. Creates native shore based jobs as a bonus. I’m day by day not seeing any down side to it.
I never would have thought that I would agree with that move – having protested against the stationing of American Cruise Missiles in Germany in the early 1980s. But now I would rather have an atomic umbrella against both of the these mad-men: Putler and his Agent Krasnov.

What Europe should also do as a matter of urgency is to engage Ukraine to transfer drone skills learnt on the battlefield to EU frontline battle units. All well and good to know the theory, different viewpoint from someone from the trenches.
