“Judge Martin Nolan noted that possession of child sexual abuse material is a “well-trodden crime in this court”.

He noted the court must follow “advice” given by the higher courts, which have indicated that a non-custodial option must be considered in the absence of aggravating factors.

Having considered the facts of the case and Farrell’s circumstances, the judge noted aggravating factors, such as previous convictions or distribution of this material, were not present in this case.

He imposed a two-year sentence, suspended on strict conditions.”

So this is something from deeper in the system than just one judge. Whole system needs reviewing.

How has this judge not been investigated yet is beyond me

In fairness to Nolan, all the prisons are chock-a-block, so there’s no point in jailing people as it’s only forcing the prison service to release other people who have committed more serious crimes and are near the end of their term.

I don’t understand how the justice system of a country whose heart has been torn asunder by pedophiles doesn’t do more to keep them out of society?

      I’m mystified.

      Theres only one Judge Nolan,

      THERES ONLY ONE JUDGE NOLAN!

      Doing right or wrong,

      He’ll only suspend you,

      Walking in a criminal wonderland!

Is there anyone in this country that can tap this judge on the shoulder and ask him what’s the story? It’s him time and time again.
Is there anyone to hold him accountable?

2,868 CA images, and a suspended sentence. He should have been given a prison sentence over the four Class 1 items alone. Aggravating factors my hole

“An investigation started after a referral was made”

Please help me understand. Should Google not have notified the Guards of this when it happened?

Don’t they constantly scan/monitor their infrastructure for this sort of thing? Or is that too naive to think? I’m assuming this was Google drive?

How do these things typically go? From the looks of it it’s quite a problem, seeing more and more of these reports.
