      A better purpose for their money than drilling another 50km tunnel through basalt rocks to connect another village with 7 inhabitants, that’s for sure!

      And as a Norwegian, we are completely clear on that this is gifted, not a loan or anything like that. The 50b NOK increase is additional to the already 35b NOK we have committed yearly inntil 2030 at least. Norway stands with Ukraine, and for European security

      It’s not fully 5 Billion, The NOK is weak against the Euro. But we are more than doubling it for 2025.

      Go Norway, now is Europe’s best chance to stop Russian expansionism. Giving Russia Ukraine is not only immoral, it’s short sighted and silly.

      7.2b euro for 2025, that’s actually fairly solid!

      I’ve been critical of Norways pathetic support but this is an amount that actually matters.

      Won’t matter in the long run without the boots. They are running out of boots fast. Good to se something done though.

      This is enormously significant! While Norway is definitely rich on a GDP per capita basis, it is not a large economy. For them to do this is very generous

      As a Norwegian, I still dont think this is enough.

      We have mad an estimated 100 billion euros extra (over the budgeted income) from oil and gas due to the war.

      My dream scenario is 50 billion Euro to defend Ukraine (must buy European equipment) and the other 50 billion going to fund a new (what I like to call) Northern Hemisphere Defensive Alliance; basically NATO minus the US.
