Europe’s Ariane 6 rocket lifted off Thursday from French Guiana and deployed a high-resolution reconnaissance satellite into orbit for the French military, notching a success on its first operational flight.

Now let’s finance our own rocket industry. There is a lot of great EU startups that need funding.

>*The Ariane 6 upper stage deployed CSO-3, a sharp-eyed French military spy satellite, to begin a mission providing optical surveillance imagery to French intelligence agencies and military forces*
>*> Is Ariane 6 the solution?*
We’ll see.
Now we can only hope the French won’t ‘trump’ us over.

Well done! Look into Australia for Space exploration support. We are world leaders in that regard. Love to work with our allies and not assets of Putins Russia.

Ah, that explains all the Rafales flying all over the Caribbean and protecting the cargo. I was a bit surprised they’d do it for a regular commercial payload but it all makes sense now.

You can see the video from a rafale here
Edit : don’t worry, it’s not a Rick roll.
Flat earthers screaming as they see the Earth’s curvature showing on the horizon…
Great job ESA!
Btw, France is carring the whole EU right now. Vive la France!
Finally, some good fucking news from ESA, and good thing French Guiana is way out from Trump’s grubby little hands,
What the timing 👍
Ariane is alright but it’s still leagues behind SpaceX.
What Europe needs is its own proper commercial space sector.
Haha and SpaceX lost another rocket today, eat shit Musk.
