I can’t imagine the courage of the Ukrainians fighting against a much bigger army in horrific conditions. I don’t think I could ever be that brave but I have huge respect to those that do. It takes huge balls to defend your country, especially against ar army as cruel and ruthless as Russia.

It’s beautiful as it is the people who choose to stand for their right to exist as free. Keep the courage Ukraine, the world looks up to you. You are the damn that separates freedom from tyranny.

As a father this would be a nightmare. Being called to war and having to leave my kids behind, possibly forever. I mean, they are what you’re fighting for, and I wouldn’t say no – but still… fuck.

As someone recently commented elsewhere, even after this war ends we have to work hard not to forget the Ukrainian people. What they have done for the rest of Europe (and perhaps the world) cannot be measured and we must support all who made that sacrifice.

Thank you for fighting for our democracy and im just so incredibly sorry we can’t get our troops to join you. Once it’s over, you’ll be never forgotten and be the European heroes, which you are already. And we will always be fighting to make you our most important country, once you finally get to join the EU and once we forgot the term Eastern Europe as we are one.
