      Many would welcome this. There has been a lot of discussion about the hypothetical joining of the EU, which would never happen, but may in turn spur greater ties. Might also want to post this in r/canada.

      I love how many Canadians and EU peoples are getting in contact in this sad period.

      Canada is always been one of my fav countries and its probably the only country I would live in outside Europe.

      Get it done already. Trudeau has been great standing up for Canada against Tango man. The UK, and I’m sure Europe would be more than happy. Let’s lift ourselves up whilst that bunch of idiots are dragging America into the gutter.

      Irish man here, would love Canada in the EU. You’re closer in thinking to the Europeans then the cowboys south of your borders

      Makes sense. They’re in the commonwealth, after all (obviously Brexit wasn’t the best move to keep us all together, but we still cool).

      Let’s start with closer EU relations, first, then we can see. I don’t know how many canadians would be willing to do that as it’s we have become very patriotic as of late. However I 100% see a closer alliance with no issue, just with no eu in the name. If we are bought to have something go on, I don’t know if this would happen.

      Easier traveling, better trade, and much more I am open too. I love if Europeans can travel freely in Canada, and same with us in EU etc…
