Call me terribly old fashioned but that does sound like fraud.
“Just stick it in as mileage Bob, no one ever checks that stuff”
Presumably had to submit receipts as part of normal travel and subsistence requirements so a bit of a stupid thing to do.
Defrauding the state? Do not pass go…
If this was public sector like me it would be scrutinised (and rightly so) – how do they circumvent these checks and balances ?
Can’t a man make a corrupt living anymore? What’s this country come to.
