Why is Poland the only EU country that seems to understand that the institutionalized timeliness for getting shit like arms procurement done are not going to cut it?
Get shit built/bought now.

Interesting development. This could significantly boost Poland’s defense capabilities.

This’ll be good for Poland. I’ve not kept up on aid to Ukraine, but could some of these tanks also separately be sourced for them while European industry ramps up? Think they’ve already received some at least.
I think the Poles are planning a roadtrip to see the Kremlin

Damn I didn’t realise Korea are making some serious kit. Thus is just what we need right now. While Trump is up to mischief, we can’t be hanging about playing his games. Let’s take our business elsewhere. I just hope he doesn’t lean on the Koreans.

It seems that the dream of a single European tank is coming to an end.
Everyone talks about unification, but when it comes to real things, everyone strives to be unique.

Does anyone else feel like the world is gearing up for ww3?

Hopefully EU armies are digging through US machinery looking to bypass low level control in case Trump decides to turn it off.

Can someone who knows this stuff explain does Poland buying a 4th different type of tank after Abrams’, Leopards & PT91 (Polish modernized version of soviet T72) makes sense, or should they stuck with expanding or maybe even standardizing on one of the platforms they already have. Cause to my civilian ears 4 completely different systems sound like a strain on logisics and perhaps even a communications issue if their software is not exactly compatible with each other or the hedquarter’s equipment. Also, I guess it might be hard to rotate soldiers between batallions if they’re not trained to operate all 4 kinds of tanks & their support vehicles.

PS: Sorry if it’s a dumb question.
