      The past few years have shown, that a worrying amount of people are easily swayed by easily spotted propaganda.

      I wish we lived in a society where banning clearly malignant candidates wasn’t nescessary….but sadly we don’t.

      Not with the dogshit media literacy and lack of critical thinking in our society.

      Don’t make the same mistake as the US. If foreign governments sponsor one candidate, he cant run, not from jail.

      Of course they are mad. But there is pleanty of evidence that he was heavily backed by Russia. So i this as a win for Romania and Europe. One less Putin lover in the EU.

      Actually, he was not blocked. He can contest the decision at the constitutional court.

      Also, it was rejected because he hasn’t signed his Personal Declaration for the Source of Wealth… Which is suspicious by itself

      I tend to agree with people like Sam Harris – we let the ethics and morals of free and democratic process to work against the same morals. Now every nazi can scream free speech, while obviously planning on repressing that said free speech if it ever gets to that point. Romania did an absolute bang on job on identifying and combating that. Georgescu is an absolute lunatic and should rot in prison for inciting hate speech, not run for president.

      He should be blocked back in October 2024 alongside the SOS Party which was blocked (Diana Sosoaca which yelled in European Parliament to everybody). Another party that wasn’t blocked then was AUR, and newcomer party POT. These 3 parties that now are the opposition in Romania Parliament are on the Russian side. All 3 parties voted against recently to take down any Russian drone which may enter in Romanians airspace. All 3 parties have WhatsApp/Telegram/Signal groups where are calling unemployed people to come to Bucharest to be a riot. Them people are mostly drunk, toothless, last book they read was in primary school which watches TV and tiktok daily. They claim Russia wants peace…

      Pro russian parties should be banned until russia is not a dictatorship on our border fucking over every neighbour country it has. Also buying gas or oil from russia is like buying weapons from usa, they come with a conveniant off switch. You can be left or right or center, but I don’t think you can be pro russia and pro your nation’s existence, unless it’s as a part of russian empire again 🙁
