This is what happens when you elect a buffoon without an ounce of respect.
Half seems like a lot. Perhaps this is the half that avoid news.
I’m more concerned that 3/100 and 4/100 people think Iran and Russia are allies what the fuck, and germany+france our enemies?
There’s a very, very strong argument that no country has treated the UK worse in the post war period than the USA.
They own 25% of Britain’s GDP because so much has been sold off to them.
They’re not friends to the UK. They’re closer to an enemy at this point.
Get them out at basically all costs.

I’m in that beige unclear section now, there are still huge ties between the US and UK.
Problem is, US nationalism runs deep, and I think it’s a bit of a blind spot. If the MAGA cult can drive enough wedges between us, then even rational Americans might get caught between national pride and sanity.
This is quite astounding, given it at some point fairly recently was only 25% for france, given those frogs didn’t want to join britain in helping the USA as Santa’s little helpers to bomb Iraq.
Even ones from before the current war one can google up are just at 38%.

I’d like to see Australia & NZ as a line item on this poll. I could see Brits scoring us sarcastically lower than China and Russia.

America only acts in self interest. That interest is corporations. America is a corporate country, and isn’t an ally to anyone other than other corporations.

Remember, if you want to show they’re not an ally then boycott their products and starve their coffers until something is done about their leaders and their decisions.
I guess the same people that voted Iran and Russia as allies are the same that voted France or Poland as enemies.

As a Pole, I love the Poland-Russia symmetry.

Note a few people I know haven’t been watching the news. A large portion of the public are unaware of the scale of the betrayal.
When you reach a time where the british see the french as their most reliable allies and the US as their least, you know something is going wrong
America elected a gang of vandalizing teenager, who get their kicks from getting in people’s faces and brinkmanship. The only reason we are noticing is because they are vandalizing the trust that america painfully built up with its blood and treasure over the decades since WW2.
I hope they enjoy the party. The hangover is going to be epic!

Its only a question of at what point the governing Labour party stops feeling threatened by Reform and starts feeling threatened by being on the wrong side of most of the public (and its own members) and has to change its stance.
The half that believe we are still allies live in a media cocoon. The media reports here of events in the US are severely limited. People are not fully aware how bad the situation is
