This is in response to Donald Trump’s recent Truth Social post, where he promises Greenland security and wealth the day before the Greenlandic election. Greenlandic prime minister Muté B. Egede says Trump is treating Greenland with a lack of respect.
Obvious election interference if you ask me. Elon Musk has also shared the post on his Twitter now. Cretins.
Greenland needs to file a restraining order.
I think interventions like this have the opposite effect to what they intend. Also, nobody with a brain believes a word they say.
Mute said Trump is unreliable/unstable (depending on your translation) and has shown no respect towards Greenland.
Comments are coming a little late, let’s see how the elections go. Regardless there has been an absolutely despicable election interference from the US at the very minimum, not to mention the annexing “one way out the other” threats
In German there is a saying „The ghosts that I have called“, meaning to wish for something which then goes out of control and becomes negative. I feel like Greenland is in a similar situation right now, having flirted with the Americans out of spite for Denmark. Now Trump will not give up on his idea of Greenland joining the US for a long time. Good luck Greenland!
Greenland has to join the EU as soon as possible, either as an independent nation or as autonomous territory of Denmark. Also Canada has to join EFTA before the end of 2026 and maybe the EU in a decade or so is they want to. This is the only way.

As a Dane with some sane friends from Greenland i am nervously watching this unfold, i really hope for them they choose wisely,
Maybe he should ask them to say thank you?
I think that every country with some relevance on the world stage will receive a lot of preasure from the USA in their next election, i am already fearful for mine next year
