When considering trade, international diplomacy and governance in general, we must conclude the US is out of the picture… to the extent they no longer exist. Trump manipulated uneducated people’s nationalism; a scheme that has worked more times than I can count — in history. The ignorance of his target demographic was sold a bill of goods, all of which were rank dishonesty. Now, trade of the world and the stock market know that the on again off again scheming of tariffs is a sloppy, unintelligent, unreliable game that will implode. As far as Ukraine goes, whatever remaining semblance of pride and integrity they have left is better spent with other partners. Trump and his cadre are simply a mafioso protection racket. You can’t pay these goons off enough.

American ignorance and arrogance summarized in one guy. A bad peace is worse than a war – ask Poland. I can’t wait for the day they leave NATO and the last American soldier has returned home, so our leaders can finally drop the farce and openly tell him to fuck off and that nobody is interested in what the US has to say about this conflict anymore.

He’s setting the tone, normalizing the “Russia first” line of thought. This is a common tactic in his playbook, and from that, you can see where he’s going.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has the best card. They are not the aggressors in this conflict.

Yeah, ‘cause Russia doesn’t give a fuck about cease-fires, peace and treaties. So they say “yes”, lie to your face and then, start killing again.

This is yet another example of why his off the cuff rambles, have real life consequences.

Trump very openly, through his talks and actions, removes all of the USA backing for Ukraine, and goes out of his way to completely slander their President and his ‘motives’.

Since then, Russia has upped their attacks, ten fold. If Putin wanted ‘peace’, they would not be doing this.

Trump stating over and over again that Ukraine has no cards in the war, is completely irresponsible. If he doesn’t want to help fund their defence, fine, but at the very least he should keep his mouth shut and stop undermining their security (and clear support for Russia).

Trump wants to be ‘the hero’ to stop this war, but it won’t happen, because Russia clearly doesn’t want to stop their aggression.

Ukraine cannot be made out to be the bad guy here, they didn’t ask for this. Their democracy, is all of ours, and we all have a role to defend it.
