France actually have islands off Newfoundland that are French territory about 600km from Halifax

Another Nova Scotian here; this is misinformation that has been spreading. It is in the Halifax harbour. People may be getting confused, as this isn’t the first time a submarine that looks like this has surfaced in our waters here.

    4. When you reverse image search this, all of the photos are from today. The article you link is written around a single reddit comment, which itself has been edited. [It looks like the photo is dated correctly](https://actu.fr/normandie/cherbourg-en-cotentin_50129/un-sous-marin-nucleaire-barracuda-traverse-latlantique-pour-la-premiere-fois-et-fait-escale-en-mode-vrp_62357584.html). But yes the context around it is totally wrong, has nothing to do with making a show of force obviously.

EDIT: Also in the article you linked, that photo literally shows two different types of subs and conflates them as the same.

Damn, who would have thought something on the internet could be false.

You’re full of it bud. People in Halifax are confirming it and reverse image searches are only showing results from after March 10th. NICE TRY COMRADE!

If you earnestly believed France was posturing against the US with a show of force, you need to get off the internet for a few days.

The sub is there. There are multiple pictures from multiple sources. This is literally fake news.
