I won’t be surprised if Russia doesn’t accept the ceasefire.
We all know what happens — case in point, Finland and Georgia — when you sign a ceasefire with Russia.
* Finland ceded parts of its territory to Russia to end the Winter War (Soviet invasion of Finland)
* Russia recognized the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia (Russian invasion of Georgia)
Ukraine, take note. Don’t cede anything to Russia.
They’ll accept and on day 3 will break it with a false flag operation or on day 31 will start bombing for 24h straight
This could allow Russia to reorganise, but it could also benefit Ukraine too (wishful thinking to assume Russia will actually respect the ceasefire for that long) because a lot of arms can be shipped in just 30 days and allow unimpeded troop movement and replenishment to where they are needed. There could be a nugget of gold to be found in this if negotiations do break down again, and it’s certain that Ukraine knows this. They will shore up fortifications where Russians have made the most gains in the south, and move everything else to prepare for another counterattack if this ceasefire expires and nothing comes of it.
I’m a bit confused now. What game are we playing? Cards, football or that strange thing called “war”?
There is no game. There is a Maniac a Nazi and a Clown who try to squeeze out a hand grenade and expect the outcome will be peace.
They will get some piece of shrapnel’s. I hope all of them have a very close look to their famous project.
Rest in Pieces
I think I would rather keep Russia on their heels, but could allow France time to move in any satellites as a backup to Starlink. I have no idea if that is in their plans though.
