What’s the poverty line in Luxembourg?

Family income below which you fall in poverty?

I’m not surprised, the minimum wage is not very high above the poverty line and not everyone works/can work 100%.

One look at how much rent for a mid-sized apartment of 70 m² costs is enough to understand that so many residents can only barely scrape by. Oh, and I’m not talking about rent in Luxusbourg City!
Esch Alzette may be far less glamourous, but it’s still very expensive to rent here.
I’d also venture to guess that we see more poverty in the “Ici c’es Esch”-South than in the “Heeschverbued”-Centre.

At the same time, many people in my line of work still complain about their salary. I must be broken in the head or something, because all I can do is count my blessings that I can live comfortably, put some money aside and even occasionally eat in a pricey restaurant.
I don’t have kids, of course.

I wonder what people tell their kids.
And meanwhile, many Luxies vote Adr and Csv. Good job, my fellow Grempercher.
