I don’t think Trump is gonna like Limp Bizkit after his Conor endorsement

I think he’s doing just fine. Could have gone a lot worse

      >“I think the Irish love Trump,” the President said.

      >“If I drained Ireland of all your companies,” he said, it might mean a loss of Irish-American support.

      >Trump also said “Conor’s great”, referring to Conor McGregor.

This seems to be going fine. Michael doing some unnecessary arse licking at the end here now 😭

Michael you old charmer you, playing him like a fiddle

Looks like masterclass in ducking, dodging and weaving from MM

These recent state visits by other countries to the US very much remind me of Queen Elizabeth’s court in Blackadder.

Martin playing a blinder here. Keep quiet and plamás Trump is the best strategy

Decades of cute hoorism have prepared Martin for this moment, we may all get out of this one relatively unscathed.

This speaks to how awful the whole zelensky ambush was. Trump dodging every attempt by the media to cause a row here but was so eager to get stuck into zelensky.

      – Trump is pissed at the EU
      – Says he won’t hurt Ireland but defecit needs to be more equal.
      – His favourite Irish person is Conor McGregor
      – Trump has the same talking points about Russia and Ukraine as usual.
      – Trump thanked Martin for winning the Irish vote in America haha
      – Trump praising Ireland for building Doonbeg and approving it so quickly, while EU being slow.
      – Talking about playing golf with Rory McIlroy

    12. Tuned in briefly, Orange Turd talking shit about expanding his Doonbeg hotel and issues with the EU made him change his mind. Instead of pushing back and defending our membership of the EU, Martin grins and nods his way along and when he finally speaks its to tell Trump that he has the distinction of being the only US president to ever have invested in Ireland… wtf.

I tuned out quickly. I need to hold onto what little bit of peace I have left.

He almost sounded like he has a kind of begrudging respect for us because we stole all their companies.. but also very much wants them back

Fair play to Martin. Even with some of the Irish reporters really shitty attempts at causing a row he kept Trump on side

Its Mission Accomplished by Michaél, get out of there unscathed, but his body language reeked of nervousness and I wish he hadn’t nodded along as enthusiastically to DJT when the nonsense was turned up high.

    16. MM did a superb job. Pity that usually only happens when he’s on foreign trips.

    17. isupposethiswillwork on

Martin did about as well as could be hoped for.

Good man Michael. Penguins of Madagascar moment. “Smile and wave boys”. Do NOT poke the bear.

Lets all remember.. it’s not Micheáls job to protest every crime Donald is committing… That’s our job. And Americans job.

His job is to protect us, today.

Generally I was impressed with how MM handled this, managed to not piss on the EU and kept Trump on side.

Very unimpressed with the Irish reporters, actually trying to rile Trump up.

We are a small country but for whatever reason people like us, let’s keep our heads down lads and keep the US money train rolling
