On a sadder note, Rte posted this on facebook, (yes, yes, I know, facebook bad) and the comments are just outright stupid. So many people asking how “refugees” are allowed to celebrate like this, saying we’re paying for their hotels etc.

I get being critical of the spend on the growing industry that is asylum seeker hotels, but christ, these people think all immigrants and asylum seekers are the same. They use the terms interchangeably. Most Indians here would be students or very well paid tech workers.
