There’s some food for thought there about how PR firms are using online “news” aggregators and social media to push agendas. I know suff like this happens but you rarely see concrete examples.
I wonder to what extent there is similar going on with other political agendas like anti immigration messaging. I’m sure it’s happening to an extent but I haven’t seen direct evidence for it.
There’s no end of brigading and “bots” on some of the bigger subs when it comes to global geopolitics. But this is a bit closer to home.
