They are legally obligated to do so.
It is important to note the difference between a TGT and a THT. A THT doesn’t mean the product expires then. It means the taste and look will not be guaranteed after this point in time.
Yeah, they should get into their timemachine and get to that.
Wtf, Colruyt should really put these recalls in a big banner on their homepage instead of hiding it in a submenu that no one reads, and doesn’t even properly load for the first 10 seconds!

[The FAVV also issued a warning](https://favv-afsca.be/nl/producten/terugroeping-van-depo-ei-cv)
How is this the first thing I hear about this? Haven’t seen anything in the news..
This is a recall present at several shops. All have the same number (2-BE-306403). The first digit is the type of egg, in this case semi free-range, the 2nd is the country code and the third digit is the unique code of the poultry farmer.
So somehow the Food Safety Agency (FAVV/AFSCA) has discovered that those eggs may be contaminated with salmonella. This could be through automatic tests by them themselves, through lab tests by a particular shop or because a complaint came in after several people got sick.
Either way this is how recalls always work.
