I hope they don’t migrate to us just because of our country’s name.

No European eggs will suit them because the Americans want eggs washed with chlorine, I think.

    3. CriticalBath2367 on

Tomorrow i shall buy one reasonably priced egg. And just look at it.

    4. inokentii on

Despite all insults from president musk and his annoying orange assistant we are still open to exchange eggs on military assistance

We need an export embargo to prevent prise increases as producers sell eggs which we subsidise abroad at massive profits.

    6. Less_Party on

All this shit about eggs has made me realize I buy maybe 2 dozen eggs a year.

    7. Initial-Company3926 on

Just read in the news, they actually SMUGGLE eggs in from Canada

    8. araujoms on

If the US still had allies they might have been inclined to help them with the egg shortage.

Americans: But you said we could have NINE!

      Germans: Nein!

We don’t have any eggs to give Trump, but he can have these nuts..

    11. DearBenito on

Luckily Europe and America are in good terms. Imagine if somebody had just nuked our 80 year old alliance over nothing to score political points…

Taking Easter Egg hunting to a whole new level. Well done Americans lol

I know Trump wants eggs, but may I suggest that he eats shit instead?

Laughs in Canadian, they’re scrambling to ask everyone but Canada. If only they knew how to ask nicely

The great American Easter egg hunt begins . lol
      Can’t make this up hahaha
Hey America are you feeling great yet 😂😂😂😂😂

    16. supersonic-bionic on

Isn’t it ironic how some undecided Americans voted for Trump bc of the egg prices lol

Europe should send an entire shipping container of eggs to the U.S. -but first, drop the full container from the top of a building. And then send them a bill with 200% tariff added.

    18. hmtk1976 on

Our lazy socialist chickens can’t be bothered to lay eggs for 120 hours a week.

      Sorry US.

    19. grafxguy1 on

Up here in Canada I just moved into a new custom house that’s actually made out of eggs. True story.

    20. PurpleQuoll on

Would the cost of air freight on top of the eggs really help the US market?

Especially with the additional processing costs like washing to comply with US requirements.

    21. RescueRangerCanada on

Maybe if they didn’t piss off their neighbor to the north, they could have asked us 🤣 instead of going to Europe.

    22. Beach_Glas1 on

Even if European countries wanted to help, production and supply chain capacity doesn’t magically appear overnight.

Add to that the almost daily changes to tariff threats from the US and it’s clear there’s no incentive for those European countries to help if the US is just going to backstab them on something else tomorrow.

This is very much an own goal from the US administration. Feel sorry for everyday Americans, but it was and is up to you to do something about all that.

    23. de6u99er on

It’s not only the price for eggs that will rise but also everything that contains eggs. Let’s also not forget that American salaries are higher than European salaries. They can easily afford to pay more for eggs.

Remember when Trump diverted N95 masks and ventilator orders intended for Europe, and didn’t allow vaccines to be sold to Europe until US demand had been satisfied? And there’s the tiny issue of Trump’s betrayal of Ukraine and Europe, and his fascist MAGA movement’s interference into our elections.

I will write an email to my political representatives local and EU parliament, and let them know what will happen if they start selling eggs to Trump’s America.
