And this is the obvious problem. I think Russia counts on bickering like this. That’s why it won’t ever do a really bold move, instead picking us off little by little, one by one.
Exactly what Russia is counting on and why getting the US out of the picture was so crucial. You can always count on petty disputes and dragging of feet from Europe.
So Ukraine is now in a very unique / weird spot. Ukraine is now produce drones, ammunitions and long range weapons ( Neptune rockets), I can image that they do much more than that. The issue Ukraine is facing is population. They got equipment. In a interesting way, if the war continues I could see Russians have more problems with the war. If Neptun can hit rafinerus or military factory than Russia might get into trouble.
France and Italy do not want to provide a huge amount of support all at once, but would rather provide it in regular smaller sums, which is understandable and responsible given the tight national budgets.
It is polemical to interpret this as the EU’s inability to act. It is downright populist.

Is this the French leadership that was promised? They sure are vocal about making sure Europe buys European (i.e; French) weapons but when it comes to actually giving aide to Ukraine they are nowhere to be found. Its been that way for 3 years now

Macron spoke like a bloodthirsty hawk. And when it came to action, it was limited to group photos and smiles. And these people still reproach Orban. He, at least, immediately outlined his position, and did not fill the listeners with sweet garbage. Budget deficit, debt spending… It’s all bullshit. If there is no money, then there was no point in wagging your tongue. You should have said it right away. We are poor and greedy and will not give anything.
So “United we Stand” only applies to group photo ops I guess.
Is the threat of Russia taking over the European continent real or manufactured? If it was real then why is this being held up over minor issues in comparison? Is a country taking on a little more debt than they want worse than being invaded and taken over by Russia? Politicians talk as if the threat of Russian takeover is real but then act as if it is manufactured.

If you can’t do it together, do it alone.

Some countries want to barge in, others want to have a look at the financial impact and yet others aren´t interested in the least in inter-EU solidarity. Yes, I´m looking at northern countries like The Netherlands. Not very different from the last big financial crisis.
