It’s the next logical step for the EU.
All EU must support EA
Shame our government is in a minority government with the left which is close to communism.
Also, the EU should produce all the needs of the army. 🇪🇺
And we also support a federal Europe, hopefully you’ll rid us of our corrupt political class.
Still can’t see it happening. There are old divisions in Europe that will surface again very quickly.
And the far right is on the rise big time in Europe. Who wants to hand over control of their army to a bunch of Nazis in another country?
We definitelly need the EU Army. The sooner the better.
I’ve been saying the Europe should create a military for more than 15 years. Here’s my only hang up – the language issue. It’s going to have to be a union of military force and capability, rather than a single uniformed service.
Maybe I am misremembering this, but I thought that Ireland joined the EU on the premises that they wouldn’t have to join an EU army. I hope that they do figure something out I just don’t see it happening soon without a major war.
Everyone wants a common eu army as long as it’s paid for by someone else, manned by someone else and protects themselves exclusively. Without sending any of their own boys to die in the east.

Maybe get their own army first? They are the nato country that spens the least in GDP/capita on defense, at like 1,28%

Not only an European army, but we also need an integrated common fiscal system. Enough with companies and individuals evading taxes for tax heavens.

I see a lot of people in the comments want an EU army. As opposed to a European army? I.e. you would prefer if the UK is not a part of it?
We need it
Every European nation needs to find and develop their own military. Stop depending on other nations if you are unwilling to defend yourself first.
The logistics of it all would be very difficult tho.
We thought NATO was a thing until we learned Russia now has the US on their side.

I was all for the creation of a more unified Europe and a European Army a long time before my Country was stupid enough to listen to xenophobic bigots and leave !! 😕
It’s surprising to me since they should be one of the countries least in danger.
