      I genuinely thought there would be checks and balances. Getting rid of a candidate shouldn’t be this easy in a democracy. In Korea the President went to jail when he tried to take over.

      No fucking shit, the same country that genocides the kurdish minority, imprisoned school teachers, university professors, lawyers, judges and so on and on and on and. Didn’t see this coming the last 20 years……. 

      This is why you need to stand up against tyrants in an early stage of the fascists process.

      I am guessing most of the protesters did absolute nothing when the Kurdish was genocided or when HDP was thrown in jail for just being in opposition against Erdogan. 

      Doing nothing is the same as accepting.

      I mean he has been on the seat of power for like 20 years, now everyone screaming *dictator*? A bit to late, and fair elections should have been screamed at after his 2nd term.

      From here on it`s either go full revolution to topple him, or else live with what you picked. There will not be a fair election while he has the seat. Dictators only go out one way: the hard way.

      Everyone in EU knows Turkey is a dictatorship, just like Russia, Belarus, Hungary etc.
