I really hope everything must be done to get it back. Is really incredible how fast the US have become a pariah state. Chine is a much more reliable partner, one might not agree with them, but the respect that a deal is a deal.
Trump and his cronies have pocketed that money and will accuse anyone asking for recompense as being “nasty”. He might even toss in a few tariffs.

Sweden transferring money to a CIA organization to help out poor countries is just stupidity itself. You can’t find anything else to spend the money on? USA spent trillions on 2 wars you don’t need to give them a few millions. I can’t blame USA for this. It’s Sweden making a stupid error and USA is putting a stop to it saving them hundreds of millions in future spending. Just find your own projects. No one trusts USAID anyhow.

The only good thing about Trump getting into office is that it forces it into the light. I definitely understand the feelings that would lead someone to vote for Trump, it has a tendency to go more extreme the longer it is allowed to cook beneath the surface. So it’s better they get into power earlier than later so those feelings aren’t allowed to grow and fester for longer and go even more extreme, and the rest of the political spectrum can adapt and try to incorporate the opinions and feelings in a better and more appropriate way.
