I’ve had this axe for fifty years. It’s had three new heads and seven new handles

That’s actually good news.
They have lied so much, to their people and themselves that they’re unable to see reality at this point.
That’s good. And that’s why Putin must stay in power. You don’t want someone who’s just as imperalistic but 100 times as smart and with a perfectly good grasp of the fact that Russia will never win at this rate, such as Igor Girkin (AKA Igor Strelkov).
The refusal of the ceasefire shows us that they’re constitutionally unable to accept reality at this point.
If Ukraine loses, it will NEVER be because they lacked courage, intelligence or leadership. They can only lose if the EU leaves them alone or if the USA backs Russia strongly. Heck, even with USA backing, if the EU stays strong in its support, Ukraine can win this one.
The collective mental shock in Russia (and in other parts of the world for their supporters) after that happens is going to be studied in neurology for ages.

I once owned a 50 year old military vehicle. One which had seen much more recent use than these.
I’d rather walk.

They look so close together and rusty they may have amalgamated into one massive BTR!
That would be easy to hit probably little tricky to transport too.

In Finland we have this saying about something very bad and/or broken “Parempi kuin uusi venäläinen”, which means “Still better than a brand new russian made”
