      >Cooper left the scene and made a 999 call suggesting his own car had been stolen.

4 years in prison. That’s it……for going double the speed limit, killing some one and pretending he knew nothing about it. The justice system in this country is a fucking joke. Imagine what the family of the victim is thinking

The sentencing for causing death by dangerous driving is as bad if not worse in the North. There was a young student called Enda Dolan who was murdered by a drink/drug driver in Belfast in the most horrific circumstances about 10 years ago while walking back to his student accommodation. The killer got 3 and a half years custody and the same on licence after his release.

      – _Cameron_

      – Fresh fade, black puffa at court

      – NOS gas canisters in the car

This lad was never going to cure cancer was he?

      > Cooper presented himself to a garda station two-and-a-half hours later and said he had been involved in a collision, that he had hit a pedestrian and left the scene.

I doubt it was a coincidence this would make him be just outside the time frame for testing for drink and drug driving once he was processed.

I use a knife to cook. But If I take that knife and use it in such a way so that I accidentally cause someone’s death, thats manslaughter right? But, many legal systems treat driving differently from other potentially deadly activities, often in a way that downplays the inherent danger of cars

A joke of a sentence for this low life . He killed a man with a car same as killing a man with a knife. And to then try run and hide and blame others is exactly why their needs to be much stronger sentencing for this kind of death. Rip Dylan 🙏

He’ll be out in half to a quarter of the sentence. It’s insane that we often give longer sentences for growing cannabis or dealing petty drugs than we do for people who grievously harm or kill someone.

He’s only one of dozens of heads speeding around.
Its a ticking timebomb of when it happens again

Another reason we need police on the roads.

4 years is a fucking disgrace considering what he did after the incident the utter scumbag.

It’s not 4 years though, he will probably out in 2. No license, twice the speed limit, and fled the scene. Honestly why bother with a prison sentence at all if it’s going to be so pathetic.
