      It is suggested the US were presented with a list of Russian demands which had not changed they want all for Oblasts they demand full neutrality and a reduction in the Ukrainian military to 100,000 troops and no security guarantees.

      The US then tried to pressure the Ukrainians into making sweeping concessions for “reasons” and were told to fuck off hence the Black Sea deal which is the best both would agree to.

      The art of the deal my ass, Putin is playing them for fools and the US has just discovered the limit of its power in rather abrupt circumstances.

      If it smells like crap it’s probably crap. We all know Russia was never going to be truly serious about a peace deal and would only see what they could get the Ukrainians to give up to make it easier for them to finish the war.

      Ukraine is just playing the US for time (which is the correct move). They are making sure they play nice until they have received all the aid from the final package which should play out over the next 6 months. They are also working to replace US intelligence aid and, probably, starlink. In addition to trying to source options to replace US only munitions and systems.

      I think Ukraine will need to play nice for the next 6 months or so and then it will be just a curtesy to see what they can get out of the US but there will be no more bullshit extortion deals being humored.

      As planned. I lobby on a smalltime basis in the US. Trump’s goal with Ukraine is nothing, he doesn’t care if they live or die at all and likely plans to get a short peace and walk away from the whole thing as soon as they can. Trump’s goal with Russia is to make it as powerful a threat to NATO as possible to both goad NATO into expelling the US (because Rubio’s law keeps Trump in) and also to then keep them too busy worrying about Russia which will leave Canada and Greenland more open to invasion by America. Sick, awful people. Very sorry you have to deal with them.

      Nobody operating in good faith would have ever helped the North Koreans and Russians attack Kursk as Trump was happy and proud to perpetrate by blinding Ukrainian defenses. Impeach and remove and send to El Salvador.

      I think Russia is on the verge of military collapse.

      It’s like credit card debt. Russian thinks it can go on for ever but suddenly it will hit the limit. No more APCs, no more tanks, no more artillery, etc

      The lines will collapse and turn on the leadership and scamper back to Russia

      It makes no sense why the US isn’t funding this war when half of our military expenditure is fear over a future war with Russia. We could essentially buy down their military and economy at a fraction of the cost of any future war, even if it lasted 10 years, it’s well worth it. The US could not get a better deal than this.

      Don’t you want your wallet back? Don’t you want to negotiate? Maybe even say thank you for giving back the wallet? 

      The Black Sea deal seems to be mostly in Russias favor already. And it somehow includes lifting sanctions.

      Don’t count on Trump’s team. They have 0 negotiations skills. Probably, at best, a Middle School debate team. If anything, develop that nuclear weapons, its a must have at this point. Don’t waft any longer, start developing them. I know it’ll be a dirty bomb but a dirty bomb on the Neptune missile, is probably close to getting a nuclear bomb.

      Lets be crystal clear who chose war, putin, russia. They chose to invade their peaceful neighbour, and they can choose to end this abomination today by reversing that decision
