Rabbrividisco nel pensare a quanto possono ottenere le cose peggiori, andando al tasso di tagli annunciati. Di recente ci sono state notizie che molti comuni devono già affrontare enormi licenziamenti quest’anno e sono in grave deficit. I livelli di disoccupazione sono saliti alle stelle, il che metterà solo più onere sul sistema sociale. E in mezzo a tutto questo, il governo non sembra parlare di qualcosa di concreto per affrontare e risolvere questi problemi se non annunciare più tagli.
A questo punto, è sempre più difficile sperare per il futuro dello stato sociale.
Immagino che tutto ciò che possiamo fare sia votare saggiamente nelle prossime elezioni locali.

Just for context, this Gov’t is supporting *private* healthcare to the tune of 500 million € and the fur trade with 50 million €, whilst cutting at least 170 million € from the public healthcare & social services sector. And this bucket of cunts, knuckledragging fuckduggery-perpetrating shitbungler still has the audacity to say that these cuts aren’t ideologically motivated.

question as foreigner, are these funding cuts data-driven or just out-of-nowhere? because from what I know in my field, FCAI cuts PhD from 4y to 3y, but actually it does not make sense because either people cannot finish on time, or actually they started before first commencement year. enlightenment please
Voting wisely has not been happening much round Europe. The right leaning government in Finland and the supposedly left leaning one (calling themselves “Labour”)in Britain have very similar plans: take bread from the mouths of the poor and buy more guns instead. That seems to be the current fashion. At least the Finns are getting what they voted for and so cannot really complain – the Brits (maybe they are genuinely stupid…?) were sold social democracy and delivered 100% Tory budget.
