And the importance of the Ukrainian armed forces is an absolute obligation because Putin has no words. All of Europe knows it. Putin attacked Ukraine for no reason. He invaded Crimea in 2014 in a few days because Ukraine did not have an armed force because why have an army when you are at peace?? This mistake all of Europe made. Trusting people who have become our enemies like the USA. The size of the Ukrainian armed forces and guaranteed heavy losses in the event of future aggression is the main guarantee of Peace for Ukraine… And for Europe.
The messaging is so conflicting around the „strength“! I wonder how the situation really looks like. What are the best sources and what are real scenarios right now? It’s so quiet again from the European Union! Are the elections over and this is not a topic anymore? Shameful! The EU needs urgently to provide more weapons. Not just money, ship these fucking weapons now!!! Don’t prolong this war!
At this point, they have to make gains that captures everyone’s attention. It has to reshuffle the conversation & goings on. In this current political climate, it appears Ukraine isn’t going to have a say in its peace. Which makes no sense & why it is crucial Ukraine’s military capacity is shown. A country’s own sovereignty is theirs to decide at the end of the day.
Ukraine is very quickly approaching the point where its domestic industrial capacity can carry the country, where it falls short is that they havent (yet) developed certain key domestic capabilities (air defense, combat aviation, space ISR, etc), and that they lack the funding to finance their own production.
