Was it a spy or just someone who worked in military intelligence? Big difference.
She probably sat there slating her fellow countrymen for having a heart and the call for the respecting of human rights, two concepts Fine Gaelers in particular seem to struggle with. Of course, this would go down badly with the public, so it will be suppressed as it could damage Fine Gael, so just say it’s the whole state in danger as a cover.
And by “meeting with spy” the Ditch means she met with an Israeli person who the Jewish Rep Council had suggested talking to about online antisemitism.
The Ditch is, fittingly, about as low as it gets.
