Ümit Özdağ, leader of the Zafer Party, who is currently detained in Silivri Prison, stated in a social media post that he saw the sky without barbed wire for the first time in 66 days.

Referring to Çetin Altan’s novel A Handful of Sky, Özdağ said:
**”Today, I saw a handful of sky.”**

“I have the right to use the open sports field for one hour per week. However, until today, I had not been able to use it because it coincided with the time of lawyer visits. The area is a small football field, 50×50 meters wide, covered with artificial turf. Most importantly, there is no barbed wire hanging above the courtyard. One can actually see the sky.

Thank God, I am in the Silivri dungeon despite being innocent. I remember reading Çetin Altan’s novel A Handful of Sky when I was a high school student.
