The knives have come out it seems:

‘Speaking on the condition of anonymity, one Fianna Fáil source said they felt like “a f***ing eejit” because they had towed the party line and publicly said everyone’s mandate should be respected and all TDs were entitled to speaking time.

This was a key part of the argument from the government side for why backbench TDs should be included in amendments to speaking time. The Fianna Fáil source said the reality of the speaking time arrangements “was not what was sold to us”.

Another TD, who also did not want to be named, said members were afraid to voice their unhappiness at the arrangements for fear it could impact their chances of getting a place on Oireachtas committees.’

The fact they’ve retained their anonymity when expressing frustration at the speaking time changes speaks volumes.

An element of fear of repercussion from MM and party leadership if they spoke openly.

Bully Butler won’t be long putting them in their place.

I’m actually just so sick of this. I’m anti the government position on this, but I’m losing the will to care about the outcome.

If they could do a bit of work considering the issues we’re facing, that would be great.

This smells to me of small-p politics ( people who worked corporate will recognise this sh#&). If we can get back to sorting out this country, that would be appreciated.

    5. I wonder what Ryan O’Meara, the FF TD who shares a constituency with Lowry thinks of his party leadership giving his opponent an advantage over him.

Argh…..the author writes that TDs had “towed” the party line.

I’m gonna be honest and say that while I had zero hope for anything changing under this government, I’d not expected them to be *this fucking childish* and hold the entire country hostage.

At this point Fianna fail and fine Gael are the same fucking party. They’re not even hiding it any more. We’ve been swapping Taoiseach between parties for the last few years as if “Mammy said it’s my turn on the playstation!”

And they don’t want to fucking help you. I don’t care what you think about their economic policies. They’ve shown time and time and time again that they put themselves and their own power first. They do not give a shit who they have to step on to do it and as soon as they’ve finished shaking your hand, they’re whipping out the hand sanitizer and forgetting you exist.

We had a chance in the last election to change things. Would Sinn Fein majority have been better? Probably not, but at the very least it’d be something new and it might actually kick the idiots in FFG into giving a shit again.

Because they aren’t scared they’ll lose their seats. They aren’t motivated to make you happy. They just need to smile and wave and wait until you’ve lost enough interest so that they can pull shit like this childish, unlawful, snakey fucking move.

Sorry, rant over. I’m getting so pissed with this shit lately
