Morawiecki?

    Is Mateusz Morawiecki pro-Russian?

The PiS party, being ostensively the most anti-Russian party in Poland, does indeed associate with weird pro-Russian parties in other countries. Make of this what you will.

Plus, formally, Morawiecki is the leader of the [*European Conservatives and Reformists*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Conservatives_and_Reformists_Party) euro-party, and AUR is its member, so on the surface level it’s just “EU party leader supporting a country-level member party”.

      > So what’s the deal with mr. Morawiecki?

There’s no deal. He is a pawn of the PiS party leader, makes no decisions of his own, and if the party leader tells him to support VOX or AUR, or even the AfD until it became impossible to spin positively, he will.

    3. His right wing party decided to continue sucking Trumps dick and copy his narratives so this is the effect. Also even stupider right wing party is strong in polls so they are trying to gain those voters.

His father was quite openly pro Russian. Mateusz Morawiecki is less vocal about it, but when he was working for one of the biggest Polish banks he was brokering a transaction to sell important industrial asset (grupa Azoty) to Russians. He also didn’t mind his government basically implementing Russia’s approach towards EU.

His party was anti-russian for a very long time, but at the same time they were anti-EU. Now that all of the EU is anti-russian, his party has grown closer to russia (being anti-EU turned out to be more important than anti-russia)

I always had theory that he’s secretly pro-russian, but he thinks of himself too much, and could be replaced by Putin without much effort if needed.

    7. Morawiecki like wbili PiS is anti Russia. I dislike PiS but we need to be honest. In the 1st months of the war it was PiS who help Ukraine a lot. Morawiecki is a politicion he will use whatever on the table to get back to power but on the end of the day everyone in polish government know that polish nation is absolutely anti Russia, even Russiophobic.

    8. He is focused on his own income but right now it looks like being pro-russian suits him better, so yes, he is pro russian.

In addition, he might soon face charges in connection with his actions when he was prime minister in Poland. Most of his associates have already been questioned, so it is likely that evidence is being gathered on him.

I’m not surprised. He was already known for being member of the group of top pro-russian european politicians and for meeting with, e.g. Orban, Marine Le Pen, Matteo Salvini and Aurelian Pavelescu at meeting Spanish populist party Vox in 2022.

    10. His party colleague Romanowski (who fled to Hungary btw) was recorded talking about Morawiecki: “Just like his daddy – a Russian agent, and he I don’t know what German agent, or both”

Moscow is worlds capital of conservatism.

Whether they want it or not, all right wing parties have to align themselves to Russia in some ways because thats what’s being pushed by international neoconservative media (and troll farms).
