I hope the Turkish people will overthrow Erdoğan and reclaim democracy. However, it is essential to engage in a discussion about democracy itself, so that it doesn’t turn into a pseudo-democracy followed by new attempts at authoritarianism. For this reason, it is crucial to recall Atatürk’s secular and democratic legacy, emphasize the importance of decentralizing media ownership, implement the rule of law, and carry out reforms in favor of accession to the European Union. The decentralization of Turkish power is the only key to economic prosperity and egalitarian democracy!
Realita je taková, že dokud nebudeme mít společnou evropskou armádu a nezlikvidujeme ruskou hrozbu, tak pro nás vždycky bude lepší být s Tureckem zadobře, než ho vehnat do náručí našim ruským nepřátelům.
Slabí prostě nemají na to, aby prosazovali svoje hodnoty (tj mír, demokracie, liberální společnost) ani ve svém bezprostředním okolí.
Ale o událostech v Gaze stále mlčí, pokrytci co ukazují jen tu nejfalešnější solidaritu – a i to jen když se to zrovna hodí.
