While this is severe, it has to be noted that the media in Slovakia has not yet been destroyed. It’s still surviving, and the mainstream is mostly opposed to the government, unlike in Hungary.

When it comes to news outlets and television channels, this is your selection:

1. The most independent ones, literally called ‘unfriendly’ by the government (meaning they’re doing a good job) – Sme, Denník N, Aktuality, TV Markíza, 360tka
2. The ones which don’t spread government propaganda – TV JOJ, TA3, Pravda, Hospodárske Noviny
3. The tabloids – Nový Čas, Plus Jeden Deň
4. The public broadcaster that the government has been trying to take control over for months. Thankfully, they’re so useless that they’re not finished yet.

So, it definitely seems alarming, but the Russian propaganda websites are not in the dominant position at all. None of them comes in printed form, and the entire political spectrum, even the government, has to rely on publicity and attention from the mainstream media, not the Putin-loving garbage.
