    3. I mean, that’s about what you’d expect?

      Russia knew it would be hit by sanctions as soon as the invasion started, so those “in the know” withdrew their assets just before.

      You can’t blame banks for not blocking those either: Russia hadn’t invaded yet when the transfer orders were given, there was no freeze of transactions in place at the time. 

      It’s just invading dictatorship doing invading dictatorship things.

      Past deposits and loans etc. Transcend the struggles of today. Anything can happen except ignoring your obligations to the banks.
