Questo è il commento che ho presentato a Yle e lo pubblico qui solo perché voglio qualcuno diverso da un moderatore casuale a Yle di leggerlo.
"Ecco un’idea davvero non molto radicale che nessuna delle parti dell’attuale coalizione del governo sarà mai d’accordo perché sono codardi insipidi.
Invece di tagliare i finanziamenti per YLE e costringendo così a fare/produrre meno Contenuti, aumentare il finanziamento, anno in anno e mandare che YLE deve produrre più contenuti, in particolare i contenuti di notizie, in più lingue. E non solo i titoli o il "nazionale" Storie neanche.
Finanzia yle a un livello che consente loro di scrivere e diffondere le notizie locali reali in più lingue. Perché il motivo per cui le persone non votano è perché sono uniformi sulla situazione nella loro area locale.
Ovviamente puoi sentirti libero di chiedere che ogni singola persona debba imparare finlandese e/o svedese a un livello che consente loro di seguire tali notizie in queste lingue, ma nel caso non lo se ne sia accorto, non è più il 1925.
Oh, e se per qualche motivo questo commento non supera i moderatori, forse uno di voi potrebbe contattarmi, il tuo sistema sa chi sono dopo tutto e dimmi cosa c’era di così sbagliato in questo commento."

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect immigrants to learn the language of the country in which they intend to vote.
The comment is aggressive, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it didn’t get through. If you removed the first, second to last and last paragraph, it would go through 100%.
Why would a government of anti-immigrants support the immigrants’ ability to vote? There was already a lot of drama between the current government and Yle. First, the government made cuts to their budget, and as a response, they included news in Arabic as a big middle finger to the perus suomalaiset.
If Finland, could embrace English as a secondary language, i think things would look up. At the moment from immigrants to even some people who have been there longer, assimilating to Finland has been a struggle because of their non fluency to the Finnish language and this is a barrier to many. As much as they would like to be part of the national cohesion , i believe this pulls them further away.
I am one of those foreigners clueless about Finnish politics. I have voted in every election based on vaalikone questionnaires and vague ideological stands on few matters. For the next election I did Yle-vaalikone and I didn’t understand the point of many questions. I realise I am so deeply uninformed about Finnish politics that maybe I shouldn’t vote.
