I welcome the fact that, for the second consecutive year, the Human Rights Defender of Armenia’s annual report includes a specific focus on the protection of LGBT+ rights. The challenges faced by the community have long been overlooked by the government of Armenia, so this inclusion is a necessary and meaningful step toward institutional recognition and state accountability.
