It closed the motorway. Some absolute clown done it deliberately, happens every year
I went into Limerick from Clare for a quick collection of two hens from the Freeway Poultry crowd where they were doing a drop-off on the Ballysimon road. Brought the dog because I was only going to be there for 5 mins. I drove through the smoke on the way there thinking it wasn’t great visibility. On the way back I got stuck in the road closure for nearly 2 hours with 2 freaked out hens and a famished dog 😭
It’s actually in killaloe in county clare
Bit of rain tonight but very little forecast for the next two weeks. Great but will be more of these to come.
I nearly crashed due to that, came around the corner on motorway, was a wall of smoke, tried to slow down, but some guy up my hole. By the time I slowed down I was engulfed in smoke, couldn’t see shit and heat was intense. Decided to push through before someone ran into me. Gardaí and fire engine just arrived just as I did. Can’t believe some idiot set that on purpose
