>Aontú leader Peadar Tóibín, who submitted parliamentary questions on this matter, said it was scandalous that a house such as this is being left vacant during a housing crisis.
>“It is incredible that, despite the severity of the crisis [for] so many families, the Government has allowed many State buildings to remain empty
Does Peadar really believe that Farmleigh house should be used as a council house?
It’s one house Peadar, do you want them to put it up on Airbnb or something?
Non story to fluff out his “relevancy”
It would make a great IPAS centre
It was just peadar trying to set a trap for Martin. If he was using it regularly he’s “Louis 14th living the life of a monarch!” Since he’s not using it at all “he’s keeping it from being a homeless shelter.” Pathetic
So?
It seems, from the article, that the house is basically not used. Leo stayed there during Covid.
Otherwise, it sits empty. What’s it for? Who is it for? Not Taoisigh, apparently.
So, to be clear, he’s saving the taxpayer money by using his own house and paying his own bills…
I didn’t know there was a residence. Makes sense though
Does Micheál Martin never stay overnight in Dublin? That seems shocking to me, I assume most TDs not from Leinster do at some point.
The amount of people that think Peadar is some sort of top tier TD always baffles me. This kind of nonsense is his schtick.
He presumably does a good job in his constituency on representations (work that a TD shouldn’t need to do, but anyway) but beyond that I don’t get the appeal.
How many properties has he now? Nevermind abroad. Taxing us to the halt but nothing to see here.
Never knew there was one. If his current option is more practical then so be it.
Could turn it into an IPAS centre
If they sold the house/did something else with it, what would the next Taoiseach do
If Mícheal sells his current home and moves in, what will he do in 3 years time when he’s out.
This is just complaining for complaining’s sake.
I wonder what the costs would be if he stayed there versus where he stays now?
Jaysus the traffic on this post with so many similar comments. One would think…
This is the same clown who said there was no need for some red weather warnings. I see he shut up about that after storm eowyn. 😂
