Mykhailo Travetskyi’s lifelong mission to restore Ukrainian farming fueled his relentless self-improvement, driving a decades-long career in which he earned a degree in the UK, studied management at one of Ukraine’s top business schools, and built his own dairy farm from scratch — now home to dozens of cows.

However, his greatest challenge came in 2022 when Russian troops surrounded his hometown, forcing him to make an impossible choice — one no one had ever prepared him for: flee to safety or stay on his occupied land to care for his livestock and the left-behind animals that now depended on him.
