By Brendan Cole – Senior News Reporter:

A U.K. woman has spoken of time in detention after being branded an illegal alien by American border officials, as she warned other would-be travelers not to get caught up in President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.

Rebecca Burke, a 28-year-old graphic artist from Monmouthshire, South Wales, told British newspaper The Guardian how she had been refused entry to Canada from the state of Washington.

Her words express exactly what I, and many other feel:

“She also warned people not to go to the U.S. at all, “because of the danger of what could happen to you,” telling the paper, “do you really want to give your money to this country?””

Nah we don’t want to give any money to such a country. Locking her up for 19 days and only getting out because she was able to draw media attention to her unjust detainment… Thats insanity!

    3. You may not work in the US PERIOD without a valid visa to do so. If you have a tourist visa – that means NO work period!

They are acting towards Europeans as if we were those that crashed planes in twin towers. And yes I am saying Europeans, since most of them inbreeds think Europe is a country and were people don’t drink water.

It’s awful and she’s been treated horribly, but the ESTA rules do clearly prohibit working with the tourist visa. If you’re gonna do any type of work while entering with ESTA or a tourist visa do not tell that at the customs. It’s not a new thing, they’re just enforcing it now.

Working illegally as an au pair without a permit would have got her arrested under any other administration too.

She violated the terms of her tourist visa by claiming she was working odd jobs for money and got caught

Personally I think there is something a bit hot about being forced into a pair of white shorts, locked up with some tattooed Latino men and forced to crawl.

But that is more of a kink thing.

Your average French family looking for a good holiday will not be so keen.

    9. The current US regime shenanigans aside, she admitted to US officials she was working in the US while on a tourist visa, what did she expect would happen?

Yeah I worried about something like this the first couple of times I was traveling for business. I wasn’t getting paid by anyone at the country but the was obviously being paid to do stuff in the country. I know that was my overactive brain hyper analyzing shit but yeah lol.

I figure Trump will be announcing any day now that his border wall will go entirely around the country. European visitors will have to have the proper documents and enter through New York (now known as Checkpoint Charlie). If you do visit, please bring us news of the outside world. And some eggs.

      The details matter:

“…She said she was refused entry into Canada to stay with another host family on a similar arrangement, and was informed that she should have applied for a working visa rather than a tourist visa.

She was told to reenter the U.S. and fill in new paperwork. On the U.S. side of the border, Burke said that after six hours of waiting, she was interviewed. When given the transcript to sign, she noticed the agent had summarized some parts of her testimony, writing that while in the U.S. she had done “work in exchange for accommodation.” Exhausted, she signed it anyway. After being told she had violated her tourist visa by working, she was put in a cell before being taken to Tacoma Northwest detention facility in Washington.”
