Noticed the meat and coffee jumped significantly in Lidl yesterday. All those 50 cent increases don’t be long adding up

You ain’t seen nothin yet. Start cutting back, buying cheaper and saving so you can be ready for what’s coming. If it doesn’t come then you have a nice few bob out away, but if it does it could save you form hardship.

Noticed Battenberg’s in Dunnes that still had the 7.45 sticker priced at 8.45.
Going up so fast the packaging can’t even keep up.

Thought I’d walk to the shops to get something for lunch as it was such a nice day.
Three slices of turkey in supervalu was €6.89. ..enough to fill a single sandwich.
Will go back to having to drive to Aldi instead.

I’ve really noticed it. Similar to someone else, some of Lidl’s shelf pricing isn’t keeping up with the increases you meet at the till.
Mentioned it to a few people who didn’t seem to notice.
Glad to know it’s not just me that’s noticed it!

Why are they going up? The meat etc is produced in Ireland. It’s not like we export out meat to America. This is ridiculous

Noticed it when with Dunnes last week. For years, they had a 4 for €3 bakery sale. Now, it’s 4 for €4.50. Salmon darnes that used to be 4.50 are now €5.00. Single red pepper normally under €0.60 now €0.95. Don’t get me started on the price of bottled mineral water. Evian €7+€1.50 deposit fee or Ballygowan €6+€1.50 deposit fee.
