When europe agrees to this demand Trump will ask for something more

    2. reallyokjustme on

And what’s next Donny! Buy from Canada with no strings attached!

    3. Fluffy-Republic8610 on

Can do. But with a bulk buy contract like that we’d expect a discount on the market price.

Trump at the Oval Office when asked about EU zero for zero offer:

      >“The EU has been very tough over the years,”

      >“It was formed to really do damage to the United States in trade. That’s the reason it was formed”

      >“They formed together to create a monopoly of unified force against the United States for trade.”

      >“They don’t take our cars, like Japan in that sense. They don’t take our agricultural product; they don’t take anything practically.”

    5. Acrobatic_Garage_891 on

American energy is repackaged Canadian energy; the only reason they’re able to export is because we sell them our energy on a discount.

Was wondering when the protection racket ‘request’ was going to appear.

He’s hoping that everyone acquiesces quickly, so he can ‘review the need for the tariff ‘, and decided to abolish it before it totally destroys the USA economy.

Don’t let the thugs / gangs / mafia win.

Make him reap what he’s been sowing.

What a shameful photo with that war criminal in the White House.

Wouldn’t be shocked if those weaklings agree!

In my opinion, this is probably a good idea.

This option appears to be a one time thing, where the US and EU can still remain connected in some form of way. The EU has been looking for a way to distance themselves from Russian energy, and purchasing US energy will add on more to Europe’s stockpile. It would be good for us and for them.

But Europe isn’t going to do it for Trump. Europe can do it for the good of Transatlantic relations, or what remains of it.

Don’t do anything this alternate dimension Eric Cartman says. I’d rather just watch America’s economy burn under the sheer stupidity of Trump and his supporters. Just like an addict that won’t choose recovery until they’ve hit rock bottom, we have to do the same. Please help my country by royally fucking us over. We need to learn. No /s here at all. The cultists that voted him in won’t ever learn but the moderates and normal conservatives who chose this bargain basement Batman villain need to know viscerally that elections have consequences and they should never choose such a openly fascist regime again.

    11. What’s the U.S. doing to get EU tariffs dropped? And even if they do, who’s buying? Because American exports around the world are about as welcome as a Tesla at an anti-fascist rally.

    12. nuonuopapa on

Could the US even produce $350B in energy? The US is already the largest energy exporter; how much more could the US produce?

    13. NoTouchy8008 on

I mean it would help you stop providing direct, quantified aide to Putin, no?

    14. Stabile_Feldmaus on

This is exactly what the Anti Coercion Instrument was made for, activate it!

    15. Rare_Walk_4845 on

It’s sad when looked upon in totality, the aquiesnece his party has towards him, control of both senate and the house, there’s such a precious opportunity here to do something bold for good.

For example, sanction the shit out of everyone until everyone goes Greener! Hey let’s do right by the planet, you’re under sanction until your emissions are better!

But instead, it’s not for anything that will bring long term prosperity, it’s all pseudo intellectual ego driven garbage, that will ultimately make everyone worse off.

Precious time wasted, but you know, we had to vote Trump in, cos transgender people in sport, and egg prices, and buddweiser celebrating LGBTQ cant forget that.

    16. No_Specific8949 on

And the EU will lower their heads give in as they have been doing every time since Trump arrived. This is a tiny region of tiny unimportant countries obviously the can’t stand up to the US.

It’s the intelligent thing to do, here in Mexico we are doing the same. But I don’t want to hear anyone claiming that the EU is a big player in the global stage or anything after this because the display has been very pathetic after several humiliations from Vance, the Denmark and the Ukraine situation.

It is a group of completely disorganized tiny countries that don’t even have free trade amongst themselves and cannot get in agreement about anything. Lower your heads in subservience to all mighty America and those in disagreement start rooting for daddy China.

    17. nugentismycenter on

Europe only wants wants Russian energy. It’s funny they are actively funding Russia’s war on Ukraine and think complaining on the internet is a valid way to fight against them.

    18. xibeno9261 on

Actually, if the EU will just give 350 billion dollars to the US every year for no reason, we will be happy with that too.

    19. Mammoth_Oven_4861 on

He should focus on his crashing economy and the diaper he shat so bad the toilet is becoming jealous.

    20. Repulsive-Shock-741 on

USA runs on a blackmail economy, they just use their military to bully other countries, it gives their international lawyers aka politicians a little more leverage
