USA and JP morgan also called all there gold from London to US last month! But now Berlin want theres! USA is so fucked because everyone begin to cash in their valuebles in US!

    3. Ok_Cat5020 on

It’s been suspected that the Gold is long gone, but German politicians have not had the balls to open that can of worms.

It’s Schrödingers Gold. It exists and doesn’t at the same time until you open the vault.

The fact is America has always been a cunt, but at least they used to smile and shake your hand before fucking you.

Why not just ask for it back. The US just got plane loads from brittain.

How much of that gold did Germany even pay for? There’s no way the majority of it wasn’t stolen to begin with

    6. MichiganRedWing on

They’ve been denied an audit before in 2012. I’d be surprised if it’s all there to be honest.

“We have (…) absolutely no doubt that with the Fed in New York we have a trustworthy, reliable partner in the storage of our gold reserves.”…there were times german Politicians were saying the same about Russia as a security partner…

“$109,000,000,000 in US Gold Reserves Now in Question”

      WHat does it mean?

If it’s german gold it’s not Us gold reserve.

When people realize how economically isolated the US will become after Trump’s bumbling economic policies, I definitely wouldn’t put it past them to seize the gold reserves and claim this is payment for all of the money the US has put into NATO. Obviously that’s all money it spent on itself, but details like that aren’t important to the morons that voted him in. Any country with gold in reserve should pull it out before things get any worse.

    10. There is no way our Gold is still there and we get it Back ever. If We try to Transport it Back to Germany Trump will say:

Germany very Bad. They are so Bad to us, this is my gold now. I won the Golf Tournament and this is my price now.

    11. BiffChildFromBangor on

It’s been used to make all those gold Visa cards that Trump has been selling for 5 million USD.

    12. D_is_for_Dante on

I say it again. Some random dude of the Parlament should not see the gold. Why should he? Instead he spreads this conspiracy bullshit.

The government can send the president of the Bundesbank to the reserves. But again why should they?

New York is one of the most liquid exchanges world wide. With the nice benefit that it’s away from potential hostile forces that could capture Frankfurt. Which would be the number one target by a hostile force of a land that relies heavily on exporting raw materials.

Aw shit, this is it guys and gals! Sell, sell, sell while you still can.

This could be the deathblow to our economy

    14. Most likely Germany also saw this as an opportunity to test the paid by sender tarifs Trump keeps talking about.

Import 100b gold receive an additional 20b via tarifs.

As soon it is public that its gone, it will be the biggest stock and economic crisis ever.

    16. MrMeowPantz on

Amazing how this never came up during under administrations. At least, I don’t remember hearing it.

    17. JarJarBot-1 on

It’s clickbait. Im sure they can go audit it whenever they want.

It’s probably in Bidens garage next to all the boxes of files he took and his old Corvette

    19. feichinger on

Misleading headline. It’s no “official” demanding anything. It’s a taxpayer association speaker saying “we might wanna check”, a few nobody parliament members saying “yeah, we should!” and the actual Bundesbank official saying “nah, we trust the yanks”.

That said, dang would it be funny to actually demand an audit and the return of europe’s gold reserves.

    20. ITRetired on

My dear co-european germans. You’ll have no problem finding your gold there. It’s the other countries that also ask for theirs afterwards that will have some trouble.

    21. If it’s gone, every other countries will want to check to see if theirs is gone too. The economic chock that would follow would put 2008 crisis to shame.

    22. Due-Currency-3193 on

If there are missing billions what’s the betting that Trump will offer a full refund in……wait for it……Trumpcoin?

Jig’s up, everybody! They’re going to find out it’s all Black Hills pyrite from carving up the mountains.

    24. VrsoviceBlues on

There was a brief spate of stories, back…2012, 2010, somewhere in there?…about German bars being assayed or x-rayed and found to be drilled out and full of tungsten filler rods. Whether this was true or not I don’t know, and it sounds fishy to me- that’s a lot of essentially manual piece-work and recasting/patching to hide it all visually- but it’s come up occasionally in conversations with my Czech neighbors and students. That is to say, some European folks from a pretty pro-US country already suspect that something’s up, and that sort of thing has a cultural force all it’s own.
