Serdar Denktas and some other Denktas and Küçük children also went to the march. It’s not just the unions or the “left”, it’s an issue that divides the whole society.
What I absolutely cannot understand: Why the hell did Erdogan’s people wait so long to push for the end of the headscarf ban at schools in the TRNC?. All those (pseudo-)religious settlers, immigrants and imams. How comes they accepted the headscarf ban for years and years? Especially when they see developments in Turkey?
Why now?
